Last Wednesday, October 1st, the Organización de Padres de Alumnos del Colegio Interamericano (OPAI) celebrated children’s day with all the students.
To celebrate the elementary students, OPAI hired CuenteArte y Más. This small business is a group of professionals dedicated to create, tell, and act out educational stories for children of all ages. OPAI hired three different shows to be presented. The first show was for children in pre-kinder to first grade. The second show was presented to the students of second and third grade. Lastly, the third show was for the fourth and fifth graders. Every show was different and prepared specifically for each group. After the show was over, the students had the oppotunity to eat a nutritious snack, which was prepared by theelementary school’s mothers.
To celebrate the students from middle school and high school, OPAI and the mothers of those students offered pizza, juice, and donuts to them. Allan Secaida, the sports coordinator, along with the principals organized a very fun game with hula-hoops for students to compete in against each grade.
