Dear Community,
My name is Sharon Canadine and it is my pleasure to introduce myself to you as the General Director of Colegio Interamericano. I began working at Interamericano in July of 2017. What I know about Interamericano is that it is a school steeped in tradition. This is due to the active engagement of parents, many of whom are also our graduates. This aspect of Interamericano promotes our family like atmosphere among parents, staff and students. The warmth and welcoming feel on campus is because of this rich tradition. And while the school is based on tradition, it remains forward thinking in teaching and learning, in our curricular decisions and international mindedness. Our teachers represent Guatemala and other countries from around the world. We value our diversity as it enriches our creative thinking and enhances our curriculum. We have the best of both worlds.
While a lot has changed over the 41 years of Interamericano, one thing remains consistent and that is our
commitment to providing students and families the very best bilingual education possible. This includes providing our graduates not only with both a US and Guatemala High School Diploma, but just as importantly, to prepare global citizens with the knowledge, skills and values to lead and improve a rapidly changing world.
