CUBS Summer Camp: What a wonderful adventure!
Cubs Summer Camp has been a wonderful adventure! Children had a chance to make new friends, build social skills, and develop teamwork in an encouraging environment.
Our camper’s teachers created a catapult encounter with their coming scholar experience that helped them getting to know their new school and routines. They created a perfect environment that welcomed them and facilitated them to feel safe and at the same time they felt empowered to question, investigate, imagine and create through exploration and discovery.
Activities and field trips created experiences that sparked excitement and ignited curiosity. Children enjoyed getting to know their peers, costume parties, playing outdoors, sharing snack time, picnics, learning centers, and so much more.
We had an amazing summer with over 100 kids at our summer camp for 4 weeks! We feel happy to have had the chance to see our new Inter Cubs grow this summer. Thank you so much to everyone who was a part of this experience from our volunteers, to our teachers, nannies, parents, and all of those who got involved in the program.

Fairness – The Six Pillars of Character
Colegio Interamericano continues to reinforce values among our students. This time, the emphasis is on the value of Fairness.
HOW TO BE A FAIR PERSON
- Treat people the way you want to be treated.
- Take Turns.
- Tell the truth.
- Play by the rules.
- Think about how your actions will affect others.
- Listen to people with an open mind.
- Don’t blame others for your mistakes.
- Don’t take advantage of other people.
- Don’t play favorites.
FOR PARENTS
- Talk with your child about the importance of being fair with people. Make sure he/she knows that it is important to you, and that it will lead to stronger friendships.
- Watch a television program together. Perhaps find a non-violent courtroom drama. And talk about the various ways in which the characters acted unfairly towards one another.
- Remember that you are a powerful role model for your child. If you treat people fairly, that is what your child will learn from you.
ARE YOU A FAIR PERSON?
(Use this self-evaluation to have a discussion with your child.)
